Rains
Rains have been robbed of their freshener
Such phrases as -
a rain of melody or
a shower of blessings
still linger
The language that we use
was made by our forefathers
It does not give us clear vision
If we could doff our language
and look about ourselves
we would discover ourselves
in a burning marge
In the visible darkness we could find
our leaders fallen from grace
who led us in the unholy war against God
Do you want to know their names?
Einstein and Gamow
Darwin and Marx
Edison and Feeud are some of them
Acid rains are the rule of the day
The fire dragon that killed Bewoulf
multiplied
and they are found in the heavens
in the shape of aircrafts
And they are found on earth in the shape of automobiles
