What they said
Times and times I've
Heard people say:
I think he's crazy;
I don't even trust him.
But to me,
That isn't funny.
It's not so bad
That a boy so haggard,
Should write poems
That are so sad.
What they don't realise
That life had been so hard,
Wealthy brothers
Wont lend a helping hand;
Related relatives
Won't take him to America
In too much haste
They climb those ladders,
And forget needy brothers
In their hate.
Someone please tell me,
How could a boy not go insane?
Knowing that life is more of pain.
Dear Christ, please rid me of shame.
