Please Leave Behind My Heart
My runaway bride,
Before you leave my house,
Just to leave behind my heart.
You can forget the price
I paid for your hand;
The ones I gave your mother
For your sake.
If only I knew you were fake.
Your father too,
He ate from my sweat.
And my wealth I showered
On your friends.
I am not asking to be given back
The price I paid.
But just to leave behind my heart
As you leave my house.
