Convenient Amnesia

My heart bleeds
both fears and gladness
splattered tears
share pavement
spent poison darts.
My hand quakes
both words and gestures
symphonic songbirds
salve torment
spared iron brand.
My eye shuts
both dark and brightness
smothered landscapes
sparse wildernesses
splayed truth forsaken.
