I Was A Fandango
What did I see in you,
Was it love or otherwise,
The evaluation of my eyes,
The assessment of my mind,
And analysis of my heart,
So wrong and blatant,
Loving you was a fandango
What did you give to me,
I thought I was home with you,
Yet so much home alone,
Your presence an ideal absence,
I regret meeting such,
Needing you was a fandango
Were you down enough for me,
Maybe so much far away from me,
Were you the one to love,
Maybe I was the one to hurt,
I wanted you more and more,
Wanting you was a fandango
Did we reach for the stars,
Why did I think you were my star,
So counterfeit and cosmetic your attitude
Yet I built castles for you, you alone,
Not in the air but in the fertile lands
I admired you more and more,
Admiring you was a fandango
I gave up my life for you,
You gave up my life for yourself,
I was left in pool of misfortune,
Trapped in you valley of omen,
I cherished all we had,
Cherishing such was a fandango
