The Illusion
As I was walking in the dark,
A glimpse of light i saw,
My eyes opened with amusement,
I giggled with all glee,
The brightness unspoken,
The light so perfect and rare
I thought i saw an angel,
Behold an illusion yet i believed,
Something made out of nothing,
Believing a lie, departing reality
The illusions of a lonely man,
Walking in the dark without aim,
Hopeless and helpless,
Finding love and seeing care,
Finding beauty in the ugly places,
Proving all wrongs to be right
Yes my eyes deceived,
Yet until the day approached,
When light lightened light,
My eyes became more open,
Yes it was an illusion
