I Celebrate You Before Any and All

I celebrate you before any and all:
possessions, places, persons,
whether earthly or ethereal,
familiar or foreign.

There is no distance I wouldn't travel,
no fortune or flag I wouldn't surrender,
no one I wouldn't hesitate to leave behind.

I'd transgress the all corners of the world:
with no navigator to direct my coarse,
pockets eternally empty,
if it brought me closer to you.

Fine and smooth as flour your body,
my comforting blanket of breathing clay.

My head is a glass overflown,
brimming with intoxicant images of you.

You carry the fragrant earth in your pores,
sweet juices of freshly pressed grapes drip
from your firm tongue.

To quell my carnal thirst I drown my senses in you,
until my belly is full and my feet can no longer stand
to support my saturated self.
