Between the Two
It would all begin
In a state of innocence
He would draw a circle
Around her feet
And she would skip hop
And play merry within
An unwitting statement
From her would amplify
His heart-beat
And a side-ward glance
From him would unnerve her
Each would regale in the other
As if they were the two sane breathing beings
In this world of fools...
The story would go on for a while
And then...
Everything would be prefixed or suffixed
By a please, a sorry, a may, a could and so on
And then...
Hell of it, can't I have my time?
Why can't you do it yourself?
Leave me alone! Will you?
