The Genius
I am awake
Wide awake
Curled up around myself
Large notes opened, half read...
All challenging me
Testing me to finish them by the minute
I glance at the lampstand
Bethoven, Aristotle, Newton, Einstein, Me.
That's the train
You want to jump hooks
'Got to do what you have to do
Haven't slept in four days
Still,
Am not tired!
