'Tis awhile since I last sat and looked at
our generation

Wouldn't spend a second thinking of the

music and more
Everyone asks for more
Gone are the days of moonlight folklore
Or candle-lit family dinners
The world's been stolen by a bandit of
hustlers
Everyone's on the move, chasing papers
The earth ponders on the shallowness of
its newest visitors
No one's real anymore, just impostors
Being who others want them to be just
to fit in
In the process losing the soul within
Everybody sells their soul I know
But the exchange value should show
Brains have gone on an infinite
sabbatical
Since google went global
Hearts lost their beats as hugs became
'smileys'
Wiser still the animals?
A fast track, a fast train, my bad, fast
cars, where are we headed?
Reading of books has hitched a free ride
to extinction
Oh, the emptiness of a busy life
Oh, the strength of strife
Push down, pull down, walk over, to
thrive
