How brief their time together,

left them broken hearted
when the fair was movin’ on

In sixty four she stepped ashore
You hopped about on chalked out grids
I rolled the stones and kept the score
Soon something beautiful was born
Between us and that haunting song
But as the fair of life moved on
Our tapestry of love was torn
