My Labyrinth
Tell me now of the maze
The place you went to search, to gaze
To try to find what I have hid
To try to crack, to break the lid
The cap I have forced upon emotion
The one I used to stop devotion
For I have made a labyrinth
A place to keep all my sins
I have made a labyrinth
And in my maze my heart is hid
These walls I built
So I could be a man of tin
To banish my feelings from the world
So tell me how did you get in.
A map of my maze you've unfurled
You followed it and found my chest
The box I made my self forget
You opened it and then you left
And then Death and I nearly met
So now I sit here alone
So lost in it, all on my own
The mess you've made is now called me
The wound's unable to be sown
The feelings the world shouldn't see
But now they stand, like banners flown
Now I sit in the breeze
The boat I'm in was hurry made
The thoughts in my head churning seas
Nothing more is left of the plans I laid
