Today's my birthday
Thought you'd be here to stay
Thought i'd see your eyes gleam
As we run through meadows green
Feel the warmth of your hand
As we walk over the sand
Thought i'd have you next to me
Wild and free, a sight to see.
Share our dreams and our life
The happiness and the strife
But today's my birthday
And you've run away
I've got a hole in my heart
And you are still tearing it apart.
The memories and things we shared
Now have become my nightmares
I wish i could change it all
But it never was my call
I gave everything i had
And got stabbed in the back
Today's my birthday
I thought you would stay
