The Power of Prayer
Only pray when I'm down
and things are bad
or when I've got no money
or feeling sad.
When I was young
I never prayed at all
too busy enjoying myself
and I was having a ball.
But now I'm much older
life can get pretty rough
but when I was younger
I was carefree and tough.
But how do I pray I asked?
because I hadn't a clue
but I must have done something
because my prayer got through.
So when I'm feeling miserable
and life's getting me down
I just say a simple prayer
and a smile replaces a frown.
But what I need to know is this
when I was young and carefree
if I never ever said a prayer
then someone must have done it for me?
