Guilt
Onerous guilt
From the residue of sin
Guilt's foundation is built.
It fills my mind
and tarries in my thoughts
and all my sin
all my ignorance whim
it wroughts.
The terrible things said,
the acts performed
the blood I shed
the souls I deformed
Guilt, formed the residue of sin, and built
A kingdom of pain in me...
Guilt, the barren of caprice
Where mine heart cease
To be the lord over me…
Guilt thou build sin
And sin build thee
Thou work together
Simultaneously!
Guilt I accept thee, but do not follow thee
From Guilt's monarchy, my soul is free
Never more I will I kneel to thee or sin!
