Island Of Ice

Invisible as the air around you
cold and aloof you stand.

Island of ice in a freezing ocean.
No sunbeams touch your sand.

Other islands are warm and green
and the breezes honey sweet.

You receive the freezing blast
of winds that don't retreat.

And if a traveler should venture forth
(the thought is quite absurd!)

You'd freeze him to his very bones
your annoyance would be cured.

So, what happens next you silly island?
You rigid, frigid fool!

Freeze until you're a block of ice
and can't play in life's sickening duel.

And when the sun finally looks your way
melt into a pool.
