If It's Summer
If it's summer
it's far by me
I saw the stars hiding
behind cottonball clouds
Peeping, laughing to each other
giggling like little girls
If it's summer
it's by me far
The darkened nightline
contrast to streets lighted up
Like day; only if by
the say
If it's summer
far, it's by me
When I understand only
What my boundries are
Where my limits all begin. But all
my say somehow shows I don't know
If it's summer
by me, it's far
The highway goes nowhere while
all my life is rolling by,
All my time a broken watch, annoyingly
always the even hour
If it's summer
it's me by far
When sullen thoughts sour
on my tongue of time
I can stay no longer but must
pass on, and be on my way
