She Was
She was love, feathers on the dove
She was adorned, yellow on corn
She was thirst, a river clear
She was sky, the air I breathe
She was peace, beyond the stars
She was silence, that rests a heart
She was beyond, even in imagination
She was wise, knew I would cry
She was ready, subdued her fear
And when, at last breath, she was never more
