Birthday Poem
Birthday Poem
Happy birthday
The festive occasion
Wishing me well
This gaping greedy hole
Too deep for an almond tree
Wonderful birthday
I’m the oldest in my family
The rest have died
Seventy two years old
Am I immortal?
Blissful birthday
Carefree October month
A drifting ice floe
Breaking up in the ocean
Who will rescue me now?
