Princess and Unicorn
Seeing the princess outdoors
was an everyday occurrence
Everyone had heard of and seen
the daughter of the king
Spending time in the rose garden
was a regular recurrence
Enjoying the many different
roses in the spring
Seeing a unicorn would be a very
rare occasion
Everyone had heard of the
magnificent creature
Of beauty and of a magical
persuasion
Very few had ever seen one
only in imagination
The crew and pirate had just committed
a secret rose garden invasion
His smile was like laughter he could
not contain
Seeing the princess walk
into the garden with elation
The unicorn he did capture after
the gentle summer rain
Behind the princess was
the sun of fire
Seeing the unicorn tied to a rosebush
framed by the seven shades of
the rainbow
With a note from the pirates of the
ship named Inspire
For the lovely princess a unicorn
with a magical glow
Was her favourite desire
