A leaf blade
In spring, as velvet
Soft and brown,
In summer, a carpet
Firm and green,
In autumn, a doormat
Coarse and yellow
And in winter, a wire-mesh
White like a skeleton,
A leaf blade lives through,
With its glory buried with it.
