A woman’s predicament
I had to forgo a painting I coveted,
For its formidable tag.
I had to forgo a tempting show
For its exorbitant cost.
I had to forgo a favourite concert
For its inconvenient site.
Don’t think that I have no heart
For I don’t get to you, men.
