Letting Go
Red, orange, yellow and green
Shocking colors with glitters and sheen
Dresses, bags, shoes, hair clips and pins
Different materials, most are out of style
She got all those things when she was young.
Teddy bears so soft to hug
Paper dolls stacked on piles
Barbie dolls that are sexy and nice
Most are gifts by friends and love ones
Now they are abandoned, forgotten by someone.
I packed them, ready for others to share
Tears on my eyes, really I can’t refrain
Don’t know what I am feeling, am I sad?
Oh, these are all the stuff
That once my little girl was obsessed at.
Am I ready for another journey?
Now that my baby girl is a full grown lady
Goodbye to her old stuff…
Hello to those guys and dear pals
Now her favorites are laptop, cellphone and ipod.
To you my sweet lady, love your life
And don’t be in a hurry
Study hard so you’ll have the degree
Boys can wait, just enjoy their company
Someday you too, will walk for another journey.
