Story of An Unknown World

Peering down from the bed,
I see the carpeting below,
I see it burst with life aglow.
Unfurling before me, a mighty sea,
telling a world unknown's history,
of how it began.
On the sea was put a ban.
As midwives of the sea,
the winds upon the knees,
pulled apart the womb,
and the land they saw bloom.

Teeming with emptiness,
shouting with happiness,
born in the tumult of a fracas,
between forces higher,
and forces within
such land was set to last
and it's face was wizened fast.
The sea like a gourmand feasted
upon the flesh of her child,
and so it withered away.
