A New Morning
Could you have seen it coming
the wake of a new morning
where everything fell right into place
heaven shined down her grace
to keep you from falling
No-one there to hurt you again
you will never love in vain
where you hide behind your pain
with a smile on your face
behind a thin disguise
Your heart has been dismal
seems like for so long now
thinking that you were the one
to have to live in disgrace
from something you couldn't control
in a past so long ago
that shows darkness in your eyes
from all of the lies
they only knew how to tell
Now your dreams subside
as you weep no-more
all-in time is on your side
as you walk, not in fear anymore
from those who hurt you before
that only watched, as you cried
