Promise
I see how you been hurting
you felt the pain a time or two
that these wounds were hard to heal
they seem to have cut you deep
it was all you could feel
Your heart has been dying
and you're tired of all the lying
now you have no love to keep
there was nothing left to see
But I promise to always love you
or never to leave you
there could never be another
now that I found you
I will dry your tears you weep
I will never decieve you
and leave you here crying
when I'm walking out the door
I promise you a better tomorrow
as I wipe away your sorrow
when you're laying down to sleep
I know you heard it all before
but believe that it's true
for this I promise to do
when I hold you close to me
I will love you here forever
and never want nothing more
