On A Listless Noon

on a listless noon!

&

the noon sits heavily upon the earth-
the sullen wind grumbles through the tired leaves-
the trees droop down their gloomy branches-

the roadside noises punch my aching head;
the clouds are stickily stagnant
as the moss -spread on a soulless lake-

the time fades lazily
as the curling smoke thread from the incense stick-
one by one the black clouds devour the afternoon sun

and the sun wriggles out of their throats sluggishly-
the nature is listless and sober
as my dreams of life!
