Child's Play' by Talile Ali

running around and scraping a knee
crying and yelling and wanting to see
trying to know what it is to just think
picking up something lacquatious to drink
dancing on climbers and singing of snails
playing with sticks that may conceal some nails
tossing 'round stones just as if they were balls
rolling down hills and pretending to fall
life is a mystery awaiting each day
filled to the brim with the myth's of
child's play
