I Saw The Lamp
Among gathering darkness
storm clouds brewing mists
still shines lamp light glow
welcome at street window
a welcome to warm cold heart
any passing stranger may enter freely
come embrace share this hearth
share meal break bread communally
come enter at the gate take off the shoe
each dipping bread into a dish of stew
true prophet prepared love meal to chew
false prophet preaches division to woe
affliction misfortune distress is a grief hate bred
woe betide a follower who regrets not all Dead
a message of love for your neighbour God Said
forgive leave revenge judgement to me God said.
