Your Voice

I stood for the longest time,
staring out at the night,
taking in the way the moon
burns in the blackness.
I felt the warmth of the
summer breeze against my body,
as thoughts of you washed over me.
And I wondered how your mere voice
could move me more than the stars
and how thoughts of you
could touch me like a warm wind.
I want us to be like the
brightest stars in the sky,
our light moving over each other
and spinning out some magic
in the darkness.
And I want to keep this
wonderful spark of life
that I feel every time
I hear your voice.
