Autumn and Winter Eyes
One day,
I’ll gaze into mirrors
With autumn and winter eyes,
Squinting into the ancient sunlight
Of my forgotten former lives.
When there is nothing left but cold frost,
I’ll remember the green paths
That preceded this demise.
