Red-Lipstick World
My head grows dizzy
When a yellow dress sways
In a teasing breeze
That has the naughty little fingers
Of a mischievous school boy.
I fall in love
With every woman I see
In defiance of my mind
Warning me to protect my heart
From the perfumed goddesses
Of the night.
I’m still just a puppy
Smiling as I trail behind
Some lovely girl’s feet;
I’m a gentle Golden Retriever
Ever and ever returning
And eager to please.
I happen to be happy
To be a man
In the red-lipstick world
Of feminine schemes.
