Silvery Years
Nobody loves life like him
Who touches silvery years,
Short of breath, yet longs for longevity,
Earth bound, heavenly amorous-
As dream more real than life,
Unspent joy of unborn golden years,
Though tomorrow narrows its space.
Called and stirred from far afar
By the far away slow moving door,
Opening, letting in, let out no more,
Unaware how far the ultimate
Transcends the what he knows,
Who lives as a sign of his journey
Whose secret gaze lies behind all eyes.
