5. Itchy Pants
I remember my grey flannel shorts
What an itchy woollen hell
I remember they went past my knees
And didn’t fit too well
I remember being the only one
To have this unique fashion
I remember how they chafed my legs
I hated them with passion
I remember always scratching
Teachers told me stop that please
I remember how my pals all moved
They all thought I’d got fleas
I remember trying to lose them
When I changed for sport at school
I remember things went missing
But not these things you fool
I remember sliding down a hill
Till I wore the backside through
I remember feeling so relieved
For the long ones lined brand new
