A Sonnet for Filipino Teachers
There’s no sun this summer,
Yet mercury’s rising;
Sweats and dry weeds teasing,
The minds of a dumber;
Whose education blends,
From ‘ranking to wrongking; '
Gift-giving, and sucking,
Some puffed-up childish trends;
Rooted, encrypted, cut,
Deep down into the pearl;
Found in the orient butt,
Ripe by organic hurl;
With social figurines,
Sleeping like margarines.
