and So She Came
I did not expect it,
I didn't even hope for it,
but it happened:
my sweet daughter came to me,
and we both loved it.
We had tea, went shopping,
she, TO ME, was talking!
About her life, her songs,
through her young eyes,
I was looking.
I kept silent,
listening to her in awe,
where did this young woman come from?
And then I recognized in her smile,
a well known gesture,
of course! It's mine.
