Beyond Waking Life
As progression into the mind
Progresses further beyond
Eyes, the dreary eyes of blind,
The recesses of consciousness,
Static sureness, surety in law,
It disrupts matter and time,
Destroys form and blends those
Bland moments of conscious cognitive design,
With subconscious spiritual
Recognition and unparalleled abstract
Rhythm and rhyme.
Two worlds collide to create
Unmatched understanding.
The repercussion of being
The damned drawback of seeing
Such sights present themselves through
A lack of discrimination
Between actuality and mental reality.
Is it beneficial to dream and
Be aware while others motion
Aimlessly through waking life unconsciously
Move onwards showing none but mundane care?
Beware, and beware, and beware,
for once you discover yourself you will never
Again understand it, the physical form of self.
Never again detach being from body as you do.
Spare your humanity, or lack of, yes spare,
And continue automatically, you will not stand it,
I advise you not to dare.
