Blurry Lines
Am I imagining this?
My mind sleeps perpetually,
boundaries fuzzy
Memories take place in the
Present tense.
The night's occurances
change their course in a deep slumber,
to distinguish is sometimes
almost always
indistinguishable.
Living while you're awake,
Living with your eyes closed.
Vivid situations
thrive within the tired mind.
Sleepless darkness.
Restless sheets.
Groggy alertness.
Attentive emotions.
Spinning out of control,
Spinning in and out of reality.
Depression fades,
Synthetic happiness numbs and tingles
Every inch.
Depression recedes,
Drugged calmness fails to perform any function.
Depression returns,
I am here, or is life somewhere else?
I can't tell,
My dreams dictate the mechanics of my mind.
