For Long, Forlorn
The dense soliloquy,
The engaging isolation,
That siphons my strength, the strength I lost
Long before I found you in the middle of the Arctic
Ice caps of polar beasts bask,
And the Herculean Task I am to perform,
Executed poorly, a hero in the rags of mice
I own you like a flower, a flower in a lonely garden.
Here in my room,
That disenchants the eyes of glimmering spheres
Perpendicular to the Sun, buried under the moon
And the stars unmask the portent of the masquerade
Where are you in the middle of the night?
Your shadows are muted in the rising dawn,
And the dusk, the dusk that prays in the time of cholera
I have loved you for long, and for long shall it be.
I wait, in a desolate station
Underneath aeroplanes that divide the empty horizon
Waiting for the rain, the rain that led me to you
Without you, I embrace the rain in vain
As I am drenched,
And drowning in the somber
The heart - stopping month of November
Disheartened, carry me across months will you?
Your remnants coil me, like wires in the copper body
And your voice, the soothing allure
Has now turned into a haunting,
Yet I can’t keep myself from wanting.
Can you hear my hoarse lament?
You are covered within the promise of the morning,
So you can never ever hear me again,
And if you are revealed, your senses are still blunted.
The hurling, the ripple in the waters
From the tears that dropped like hail
I am lost in this yearning,
For long, I am forlorn.
