How Cool And Fine And Taut
How cool and fine and taut
The random falling of a Spring shower
With it a rainbow comes
With it a piece of peace
Seems to grow wings and fly
And manifest the dower
Of serene thought and mind and peaceful living:
To save us somewhat from the dour
And crazy running race of life:
And like an Eastern queen or Merlin old
‘Twill manifest the power
Of magic better than witches old
On broomsticks flying high, high
Over city-houses and towns and villages
And magic black and sour.
