Maker by my hands
With paintbrush or pen
I transcript existence
I am painter and poet
A maker by poiesis
Of language of dialect
A hymn or poetic picture.
Color is my light
My green a perception
Of wavelength of yellow and blue.
I am emerald like ocean to grow my way as chlorophyll
I am camouflaged
In green seen being through
The Chinese cuckold green
But dark skinned men
Green eroticized
Green will decay
When jealousy and evil lay
The green eyed monster lives
With his pouch full of greenbacks
And go-go of the street light’s glow
Let you know that the Pan-Africanism
Wave their flags green as ground and land
With red blood and black skin
Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Senegal
Sacred Islam green, Iran and homes for Hamas
Libya, vert by the jolliness of youth
And beauty without shame
Jamaicans men the color of Nigeria
I have seen them dressed in green silk
In paradise where the third ray
Of creative intelligence did green my eyes.
Put the paint and pen
To the canvas and paper
Once wood grown in
Green growth
Far from my plastic pen.
My wishing water is full
Of turbidity suspended
Hazily words that would
Woo you with a tune cause by
The words that could with
Sound make with a fault
With a doubt about
Who you are as poet creator
