I want you to see
You look at me,
I'm happy,
Bubbly,
Not a care in the world.
But you don't see the fight inside,
The tears I'm trying so hard to hide,
You see what I allow you to see,
And tell you there's nothing wrong with me,
I'm fine.
But I'm not,
You don't see what I'm pushing back,
The degrading voice,
The constant confusion,
The depression.
You're there if I need you, you say,
I'll deal with it my own way,
Lock it up and throw away the key,
But now it's bubbling over,
Seeping out.
Yet I still wont let you see,
But this depression inside,
Is slowly killing me.
