Icy Homestead

While driving through the icy land
I came across an old homestead
Stark empty was its insides
Didn’t have a single table or bed

It was really sad to see it
Looking so lost and forlorn
Absorbed in lacy iciness
Old curtains that had long been torn

Oh the stories that it could tell
Going back so many years
I could just see the families
Growing through happiness and tears

On I went to the buildings
Where winter had grabbed hold
Oh look, there’s a cow out there
Maybe life will yet unfold

When the winter gets a grip
And everything is white
Let your imagination go
On a frozen winter flight!
