On Suicide
What I’m to say on suicide
It is sooo profund
There’s one thing I know ‘bout suicide:
YOU DON’T GET NO REFUND!
It’s not like if one day, let’s say
You should have a heart attack
You could go down to Medicare
And maybe get some money back
You cannot break the stuff of life
And then take it back to the shop
They would only laugh at you
And to your face they’d mock:
“Your broken life’s no good to us
A broken life will just not sell
Bring it back another day
When it has been made well.”
“The damage you had done to you
Is murder, can’t you see?
You have terminated your agreement,
Voided the warranty! ”
You can’t go back to God and say:
“My life, it is no good! ”
“I demand it be exchanged! ”
“My life I tell ya is no good
And I don’t care if it’s a sin,
If you do not exchange my life
I’m gunna chuck it in the bin! ”
Methinks with God that you may be
No, will be in a heap of strife:
“You threw away you chance at heaven
When you threw away your life! ”
“Oh God. Oh God” you say
“You are not any fun! ”
“Just let me have another go’
Let me have another run.”
Methinks that God may answer you:
“NO! ”
“My answer that I give to you, that I give to everyone:
You’ve broken all your trust in me:
There are NO refunds! ! ! ”
