Picture of the Past
It wasn’t yesterday, but long ago
Autumn trees with a backdropp of cloudless sky
Like an ocean of endless blue nothingness
Rust-colored leaves blanketed the ground
A painted picture in my mind
She looks up smiling in her clover green dress
The sound of his laugh,
Better than acoustic guitar
This memory is happiness
I close my eyes and there I am again
A changed person now
New hopes, new dreams
Fearless and matured
Everything changes, but it is always the same sky
Connecting past with the present
I look up and I am there once again
