Prayer For You
On the edge of the unknown
Along a lonely road
Stands a little girl
Her robin's egg eyes
Hold a history of lies
About history itself
Her curly black hair
Tangled beyond repair
Like life itself
Her bare hands and feet
Hold the scars of those she meets
But nothing else
And as she walks away
You hear her soft voice pray
Not for herself
But for you.
