September Eleventh,2001

SEPTEMBER 11TH,2001

We won’t soon forget that September morning,
As we stared unbelieving at Hell in the skies.
When cowards came calling without mercy or warning,
And left us dumbfounded with tears in our eyes.

Thick smoke and flames stole a beautiful blue sky,
As cold fear and raw panic manifest in us all.
Then the whole of creation looked up and cried “why”,
As those twin towers shuddered and started their fall.

Deadly confetti fluttered down on the breeze,
As those in the streets ran hard for their lives.
Even the tough guys felt weak in the knees,
As people world wide lost husbands and wives.

What sort of demons would conceive such a deed,
And have the gall to do it in the name of our God?
May he pity the savages with such hatred to feed,
Martyrs to Satan, like peas in a pod.

First blood is drawn and the line has been crossed,
And the fate of mankind lays out on the table.
This terror must stop no matter the cost,
Keepers of the peace be vigilant and able.

Lessons are taught but to soon forgot,
Complacency rewards a life void of war.
The giant’s awoke for the battle to be fought,
Remember September for now and evermore.
