So Many Potential Despots
So many despotic and potentially despotic leaders in the World of today
Suppose with most people in positions of power it is their natural way
To hang on to power at all cost those they perceive as foes they try to eliminate
As well as their rivals for power all their opponents they do hate
The lust for power is addictive in every power hungry man
And most of them when they get power hang on to it for as long as they can
From power hungry into despots they eventually grow
And from despot to despotic criminal their progression is not slow
The fear spread by despotic leaders is an addictive thing
And even out of fear of them the masses their praises do sing
It started as a lust for power when they were in their life's prime
That progressed through the decades to a life of Major crime
In most of those who lust for power a despot does reside
And because of them far too many good people needlessly have died.
