The price of wealth
So young, so educated
Brought up in a world which is disoriented
Raising up to the sound of birds
No unprofitable task of watching cattle graze
A Joburger I am
Specify the verb and I can
So wild is my life
Yet my mind is as narrow as a knife
Money - my daily bread
Let me look good forget I have no roof over my head
Driving the most luxurious cars
Drinking in trendy bars
Wearing latest labels
My life intertwined like cables
Confused individual
The cost of being bilingual
Racing through the day
No time for self, but that's okay
Rushing, rush, rush
Expressing my views at such a speed, maybe I should rather hush
Money - my daily bread
Let me look good even if I have no roof over my head
Driving the most luxurious cars
Drinking in trendy bars
Sacrificing self respect for a position
That's how we assist our managers reach a decision
Giving birth out of commitment
Marriage is nothing but an impediment
Burying our youth daily
So what, we will all die some day, really
Expensive furniture
Stultifying future
Joburg nature
Greed of a vulture
No morals society
Multiplying deceit to infinity
Respect causes confusion
A perfect world is just an illusion
I'm a Jobuger can't you see
No future, no morals, just let me be
No laws, no respect, remember I AM FREE! !
