There Won't Be an America
Children, I yearn forgiveness
for my supposition
i thought no harm in neglect
or abused position
Children, there won't be a home
there won't be an america to escape to
i thought no harm in sleeping in the rain
or letting old dogs die so the new would bite
children
there won't be an america to escape to
in all the world, they want for peace
america was the homestead
children
there won't be an america to escape to
there will only be one world to escape from
one america to run from
one big godless form
children
